Аннотация. В
статье рассматривается проблема характера американо-китайских отношений во
внешней политике. Начиная с 1970-х гг. они развивались
с подъемами и спадами. При этом две страны исповедуют различную политическую
идеологию. США и Китай объединила идея сотрудничества в годы «холодной
войны». С ростом экономического и политического потенциала Китая все
больше стало проявляться соперничество.
Summary.
The paper examines the nature of US-China relations in
the realm of foreign policy. Since 1970s. these have
been evolving with consecutive ups and downs. The two countries obviously have
different political ideology but were brought together
during the Cold War by the idea of cooperation. With the steadily increasing
economic and political potential of China, the relations began to shift from
cooperation to rivalry.
